Suddenly we have sober reflection about how to stop such a paramilitary attack here in the U.S. ; and what to do about monsters in custody in Guantánamo, such as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the stooge of the PNAC and CIA2/MOSSAD who fronted for them at 9/11.... how very timely and convenient for the "power behind the power in the USA and the WORLD at large"....

Emanuel "Dispatched" To Discuss Senate Seat with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich....
http://www.236.com/video/
With unanswered questions fueling speculation about the extent of President-elect Obama's transition team's contacts with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich regarding his vacant Senate seat, new details emerged about the controversy. The Wall Street Journal reports that Obama "had begun thinking about his Senate successor even before the presidential election, and dispatched Rahm Emanuel days after the vote to contact" Blagojevich aides "to begin talking up Mr. Obama's preferred candidates, associates of Mr. Emanuel said this weekend." Emanuel "didn't talk to Mr. Blagojevich directly about the matter, by phone or in person, according to people familiar with the matter. He spoke by phone with aides to the governor, those people say."
In a radio interview with Chicago's WGN-AM, incoming White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked about the allegations that Emanuel is "actually on some of these secretly recorded tapes talking about the vacant Obama seat to Blagojevich officials." Gibbs replied, "I think I'll wait until we have a full picture and we can tell everybody what any staff investigation has found out and do it in a timely and thorough way as the President-Elect expects us to do."
ABC World News said "prominent Democrats, including Pennsylvania's governor, have criticized the President-elect for not saying more sooner" about the scandal. Gov. Ed Rendell: "The rule of thumb is, whatever you did, say it. And get it over with. Make it a one-day story."
Meanwhile, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, "Last week's revelation that...Blagojevich was secretly recorded in his campaign office and on his home phone has prompted more than a dozen potential witnesses in recent days to come forward. They've been calling investigators and defense lawyers to talk about deals or discussions they've had with Blagojevich."
Rahm Emanuel's bizarre behavior
President-elect Barack Obama's Chief of Staff, Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), the congressman who inherited Governor Rod Blagojevich's 5th Congressional District seat, looks like a man with something to hide. ABC News has reported that Emanuel has been avoiding the press. The network also reported that a cameraman on a stakeout at Emanuel's Chicago home was told by Emanuel: "I'm getting regular death threats. You've put my home address on national television. I'm pissed at the networks. You've intruded too much." Sarah Feinberg, an aide to Emanuel, later said the cameraman had an "active imagination" and denied that Emanuel ever said he had received death threats.
Emanuel also brusquely pushed away a digital recorder being held by a reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times.
Emanuel has also stated, through a spokesman, that he is not a "target" of the investigation by U.S. Attorney for northern Illinois Patrick Fitzgerald.
It is also significant that Emanuel has not yet resigned his congressional seat.
Yesterday, Steve Clemons, who publishes the Washington Note on-line, received what was purported to be a copy of an FBI transcript of a wiretapped phone conversation between Blagojevich and Emanuel. The transcript was later identified as a fake, however, many of those who read it after it appeared on the Washington Note said the transcript appeared to exonerate Emanuel completely of any role in the sale of Obama's Senate seat. And that begs the question: Who generated a false FBI transcript and who would have benefited from it?

RAHM EMANUEL: This is Rahm.
ROD BLAGOJEVICH: Hey Rahm, yeah it's Rod.
EMANUEL: Uh-huh. What's going on governor, I'm busy.
BLAGO: Well, it's about that Senate appointment...
EMANUEL: We already gave you the list of people we like.
BLAGO: Yeah, I been looking the list over. Interesting names. Good people. How's the transition going?
EMANUEL: It's going fine, governor. Are you calling to fucking tell me anything, or what, cause I--
BLAGO: No no, I'm just wondering if you have all your picks already made. I heard something about Dashle [sic] for HHS--
EMANUEL: I'm not gonna discuss ongoing deliberations, gov, you know that.
BLAGO: Hey, come on Rahm, let's not act like I'm a stranger here.
EMANUEL: Did I call you a stranger? If I thought you were a stranger, you think I'd be interrupting my important fucking business to take this goddam fucking phone call?
BLAGO: Hey you don't have to get curt with me, Rahm.
EMANUEL: This isn't me being curt, Gov, this is me being fucking busy. Now what did you call about?
BLAGO: I'm just feeling you out, seeing if Valerie [Jarret] [sic] still wants that Senate seat, just wondering what kind of priority that is for the President-Elect.
EMANUEL: Actually, it's not a priority. Valerie's had second thoughts about the job.
BLAGO: What, she doesn't want it anymore?
EMANUEL: She's having second thoughts. You want more details, you ask her.
BLAGO: She won't take my calls.
EMANUEL: Big fucking surprise.
BLAGO: What's that supposed to mean?
EMANUEL: Um, I don't know, what's it supposed to mean governor? A.) You're a fucking crook. B.) You're a fucking asshole. C.) All of the above.
BLAGO: I'm clean Rahm, you know this. You think that fucking Fitzgerald would being twiddling his fucking thumbs if he had shit to go on?
EMANUEL: I gotta go, Gov. You appoint who you want, we don't really give a shit.
BLAGO: What if I appoint Valerie, what if she takes it?
EMANUEL: What do you want me to say? We'd appreciate it, I'm not gonna fucking kiss your ring over it.
BLAGO: "Appreciate it"? Come on, this is a senate seat we're talking about. It's worth a fuck of a lot more than appreciation.
EMANUEL: You asked us for a list, we gave you a fucking list, you want to make your own list then make your own fucking list. [Raising voice] But if you're asking for anything else from me, or Barack, or Valerie, then you can fucking stop talking right now Rod.
BLAGO: Wait a sec there Rahm. Wait just a fucking minute. Who are you to talk to me like that? I fucking made you.
EMANUEL: You made me? You made me? Tell me you're fucking joking.
BLAGO: No no no, you listen to me shit-face. You see this list I got, the names motherfucking Obama fucking wants for the Senate. I just ripped it in two. How you like that? Oops, Harris just dropped it in the shredder. Harris?
HARRIS (muffled): Yes sir?
BLAGO: Did you just drop that list in the shredder? [Whirring, shredder noise]
HARRIS (muffled): I did.
EMANUEL: Do you have me on fucking speakerphone?
BLAGO: It's in the shredder, Rahm. The list is bye bye.
EMANUEL: Hold on a sec -- you got me on fucking speakerphone? Who the fuck do you think I am?
BLAGO: Who are you Rahm? Who are you? You're shit, you hear me? Don't come back to Chicago Rahm, it's not your town any more.
EMANUEL: Pick up the phone Rod.
BLAGO: I'll put someone in the senate who will fucking fuck you. I might even put myself in there, how you like that Rahm? How you gonna explain that to fucking Barack, every time he's gotta call me up for my fucking vote. He'd have to take my calls then, wouldn't he?
EMANUEL: [Screaming] I said pick up the FUCKING phone!
BLAGO: [Picks up phone, speakerphone off] I got your attention now, didn't I?
EMANUEL: Shut the fuck up and listen to me for one second Rod. And I want you to listen carefully, because this is the last time I'm ever going to talk to you. You are fucking dead to me. You been fucking dead to Barack since '06, now you're dead to me. Know what that means? That means you're dead to my people in Chicago, Daley on down, and all these friends you think you have aren't gonna touch you with a ten foot fucking pole.
BLAGO: Oh now you're the fucking Godfather? Fuck you.
EMANUEL: No fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.
BLAGO: Fuck you!
EMANUEL: Listen up asshole. The shit's gonna hit the fan, maybe tomorrow, maybe next month, and when Fitz finally brings down the hammer it's gonna be my name that's going through your head. You won't know the hows or the fucking whys, but it's gonna have my fucking fingerprints all over it. Have a great life fatso.
BLAGO: Hey fuck--
EMANUEL: [Click.]

To paraphrase President Richard Nixon's counsel John Dean, "there is a cancer growing" on the Obama team. This editor told a top Democratic Party veteran yesterday that Obama must make a deal with Emanuel and his strategist David Axelrod (who are close friends). Obama must ask them to withdraw their names from appointment to his White House staff with the provision made public via a press announcement from the President-elect that such a move does not constitute any admission of guilt on their part. Obama must then bring in a heavyweight and no-nonsense Chief of Staff. That man is the person who wanted the Chief of Staff job in the first place: outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean....
December 15, 2008 -- The history of Illinois: the "reformers" are the ones who get jailed
While the corporate media pundits are harping on Illinois and Chicago politics being inherently corrupt, it should be remembered from recent history that the governors of the state who were targeted by federal prosecutors were all considered reform politicians out to bust the backs of the machines, particularly the Daley machine in Chicago, that have traditionally run the affairs of the city of Chicago, as well as the state of Illinois.
Dan Walker was Governor of Illinois from 1973 to 1977. He ran as an anti-establishment candidate who walked the state in hiking boots to meet the common people. Walker also took on corrupt government as the President of the Chicago Crime Commission before he was governor. In 1976, Walker was defeated in the Democratic primary by an ally of the Daley machine. Walker became the head of a savings and loan association he found himself indicted for bank fraud.
Walker issued executive orders as governor to stop the practice of state employees being forced to raise money for political campaigns. Walker spent 18 months of a 7 year sentence in the federal prison in Duluth, Minnesota, the same prison where former Republican Governor George Ryan is now serving a 6 1/2 year prison term. It has previously written that Ryan's "true crime" was to attack dirty cops and prosecutors in Chicago and Springfield, some of whom are colleagues of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald who prosecuted Ryan, for prosecutorial and law enforcement misconduct. Ryan commuted the sentences of Illinois' death row population from death to life as a result of his conclusion that the judicial system in Illinois was hopelessly flawed and corrupt.
In an October 26, 2007, letter to the Chicago Tribune, Walker wrote: "One of the counts on which he [Ryan] was convicted was for forcing state employees to raise money for his political campaigns. I used executive orders when I was governor to stop that and other similar vicious practices. I've been called a confrontationist because I fought hard and unsuccessfully to get the state legislature to turn those orders into state laws. No governor since me has had the guts to duplicate that array of executive orders. I wish reporters would go to each of the state's elected officials and ask them on the record why they don't issue such orders covering the employees in their offices. Some, like Gov. Rod Blagojevich, have issued pallid orders that are more form than substance. None has gone anywhere near as far as I did. And also ask Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan why she can't ask the court in Springfield to issue an injunction against those kinds of practices. Call them criminal racketeering, which it is. Ask Mayor Richard Daley and Blagojevich why, in the face of more than 130 felony indictments against city and state employees, they don't order more serious measures to stop the pay-to-play practices used by Ryan that rose to the level of racketeering."
Walker has hit the nail on the head. Indicting Illinois politicians is like shooting fish in a barrel. It is not very hard considering the corrupt environment. But the indictments of Walker, Ryan, and, now, the prosecution of Rod Blagojevich, appear to be aimed more at setting scores with those who would upset the traditional system of cronyism. This editor asked a veteran Democratic politician what the difference is between hard-hitting politics, such as that which exists in Illinois and other states, and corruption. His answer: "There is none."
Walker asked why, as Attorney General, Lisa Madigan had not issued injunctions against the practices that may land Blagojevich in prison. Is it because she is a potential successor to Blagojevich and is part of another Daley-like machine in Illinois (Madigan's father, Michael Madigan, is Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives and has been, except for two years during a Republican majority, since 1983). Madigan and Blagojevich are bitter political enemies. Madigan is a fiscal conservative while Blagojevich favors increasing state spending on public works and infrastructure projects. And Lisa Madigan raised more campaign cash in her 2002 race for Attorney General than Blagojevich raised for his gubernatorial run. There were charges that Lisa Madigan used taxpayers dollars in her campaign, a "pay to play" gambit that Blagojevich is now accused by Fitzgerald of employing.
The difference is that the Madigans have not taken on the power structure in Illinois, the Daley machine included. Fitzgerald's selective "crusade" against Illinois corruption is exactly the type of prosecutorial misconduct cited by Ryan in his decision to commute the death sentences of Illinois' death row population.
One of Fitzgerald's predecessors as U.S. Attorney for northern Illinois was Otto Kerner, Jr., who later became a reform governor who promoted fair housing, mental health services, and state spending on public infrastructure projects. In 1967, President Lyndon Johnson appointed Kerner as chairman of the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, set up to issue recommendations after race riots swept American cities. In 1968, Kerner resigned as governor to take a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
In 1973, Kerner went on trial for accepting bribes from a race track owner. Kerner was convicted on 17 counts and was sentenced to a three year prison term. Kerner died in 1976. The federal prosecutor who went after Kerner was James Thompson, a future Republican Governor of Illinois who not only escaped a "shot in the fish barrel" but went on to serve as a member of the 9/11 Commission. Thompson succeeded Governor Walker, who was later imprisoned, as Governor in 1977. President Clinton refused a pardon request from Walker in January 2001. Instead, Clinton, on the urging of then Deputy Attorney General and Obama's future Attorney General Eric Holder, gave a pardon to fugitive Russian-Israeli mafia kingpin Marc Rich. Outgoing President George W. Bush is being urged to grant a pardon to imprisoned Governor George Ryan. If the past is prologue, the mavericks who run afoul of the law are not the individuals selected for pardons.
Republican Governor Jim Edgar's term as governor from 1991 to 1999 was also plagued by "pay to play" allegations. A number of businessmen and state employees went to prison after it was discovered that Edgar's largest contributor, Management Systems of Illinois (MSI) received a lucrative state contract. Edgar escaped scrutiny just as Thompson escaped indictment for his practice of denying state jobs to Democrats or anyone who had not supported the Republican Party. In Rutan v. Republican Party of Illinois, Supreme Court of the United States ruled Thompson's practices unconstitutional. However, Thompson escaped prosecution. Thompson later represented Ryan in his criminal trial.
Although Fitzgerald saw a successful conviction of Conrad Black, the chairman of Hollinger International, the owner of the Chicago Sun-Times, for fraud, Fitzgerald did not feel it necessary to investigate the chairman of Hollinger's Audit Committee, James Thompson. Could it be that it was because Thompson was the biggest name in Illinois politics to come out in support of former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani in the 2008 primary? Fitzgerald was assigned to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York during Giuliani's mayoralty from 1994 to 2001. Fitzgerald has served as a successful "doorman" for the establishment Republicans ever since...
-------------------
President-elect Barack Obama’s plans for the Middle East, the region where his predecessor’s policies shattered America’s standing around the world as a benign superpower, represent a welcome departure from President Bush’s grand design to redress the region’s ills through “constructive chaos.” Unfortunately, Obama’s all-encompassing promises might prove to be just as unrealistic....
Obama’s agenda is breathtaking. It includes extrication from the Iraqi morass and lifting its burden from America’s foreign policy, resolving the festering Israeli-Palestinian conflict while confronting the “hawkish” Israel lobby, using dialogue to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions and wean Syria from its radical agenda – thereby dissolving the region’s “axis of evil” (Iran-Syria-Hezbollah-Hamas) – freeing Lebanon from Syria’s grip, and pushing for an Israel-Syria peace. And you can add to this a reorientation of America’s military effort to the war in Afghanistan.
The magnitude of this agenda must be seen against the region’s depressing legacy. The entire region is going through a dangerous process of “Somaliazation,” with an expanding chain of non-state agents, mostly radical Islamist groups, challenging the idea of the state almost everywhere.
This is the case in Syria with the Mafia KILLERS of the ASSAD family of crooks, working in concert with the White House's Murder Inc., through the Assassin in Chief Asef Shawkat, in Palestine with Hamas and the stooges of CIA/MOSSAD the so-called non-authority of the clown Abbas, in Iraq with Moqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi Army and scores of other groups, with the Taliban and tribal warlords in Afghanistan, and with breakaway movements in Pakistan that have been emboldened by Pervez Musharaf’s resignation. The looming end of President Hosni Mubarak’s long rule in Egypt might lead to the emergence of a formidable bid by the Muslim Brotherhood for power in Cairo, possibly forcing Mubarak’s successor either to reach a modus vivendi or to wage a fight to the death.
Obama may soon learn that his timetable for withdrawal from Iraq is unrealistic. A rapid American disengagement might ultimately cause the country’s disintegration into fragmented political entities, one of which would likely be an Iran-controlled Islamic republic.
The resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan requires a more robust military response, but with the American army bogged down in Iraq and the Western allies reluctant to send additional troops, the country’s dismemberment by local warlords is not a far-fetched scenario. And, with the allies’ military operations eroding President Hamid Karzai’s domestic legitimacy, Obama might consider the advice of French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, who warns that the answer in Afghanistan will have to be more political than military.
As for Iran, Obama might have to fall back on a strategy of military pressure sooner than he would like. As the protracted dialogue conducted by the European Union’s special representative, Javier Solana, on behalf of the Security Council’s permanent members and Germany has proved, Iran has no intention of deviating from its drive to nuclear status. Unless Obama reaches an uneasy understanding with Russia – which would require revising post-Cold War strategic agreements – the chances of imposing a tight sanctions regime on Iran are slim. The specter of a Middle East nuclear arms race, with Iran’s Sunni rivals in the region – Saudi Arabia, Egypt and others – redoubling their efforts to attain nuclear status, cannot be ruled out.
In the Middle East, Obama faces an almost impossible task of redressing historical and political ills. Meanwhile, he inherits an America that is no longer an undisputed hegemony, and that, together with its allies, is immersed in the most severe economic crisis since 1929. Struggling with a crisis that is shaking the foundations of capitalism and the American way of life, and laden with a $10 trillion national debt and a $1 trillion budget deficit, the United States is bound to opt for a realistic foreign policy, one that departs from the haughty disregard for history, tradition, and religion that characterized the Bush administration.
Obama’s ascension to the US presidency represents a revolutionary landmark in America’s history that should not be allowed to fall victim to inflated expectations. His idealism needs to be tempered by the limits of American power. The challenge of his foreign policy is not to change the Middle East – this is the long-term task of the region’s peoples – but to redress America’s damaged reputation in the whole world.
To achieve this objective requires resolution of the Arab-Israeli conflict, particularly the Palestinian question. This is the real wound that infects America’s entire foreign policy, particularly its standing in the Arab and Muslim world. During his visit to the region last July, Obama vowed to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict “starting from the minute I’m sworn into office.” He cannot lose any time in fulfilling that pledge.... if he is conveniently allowed by and for the "power behind the power in the USA and the WORLD at large".... to make an honest attempt at resolving some pressing issues, only because of the magnitude of the meltdown in Capitalism....
Unlike the insoluble mess that he inherits in the broader Middle East, the road to a comprehensive solution of the Arab-Israeli dispute has already been paved, and no wheels would have to be reinvented. Leadership and commitment are what is required, and Obama’s “Yes, we can” campaign has already shown that he might have both, if the "power behind the power in the USA".... allows him to extricate the world from an inevitable and disastrous new world fragmentation into a million pieces fighting for basic survival in a new "1000 years" global war....
Hence:
President-elect Obama is preparing to govern from his platform of change. But the mistakes characteristic of American administrations defy change over time. Here are three things not to do when running American foreign policy:
-Do not personalize foreign policy. American presidents and top advisers rise through a sea of elites in highly competitive careers in politics and other fields. They are confident in their own charm (FDR and JFK spring to mind). They see others in comparable positions abroad as likely to have much in common. This produces a belief that the same skills that built coalitions in domestic politics or in the private sector will translate into foreign policy.
Personal relationships can ease awkward conversations. But, with both friends and adversaries, to believe that one's strength of personality or genuine graciousness will sway leaders of other nations from their own interests is to court failure. Respect for principles or power, or ideally both, is decisive. Charisma is not.
Allied leaders whose instincts seem to run alongside ours will be constrained by their own domestic politics and interests, frequent amiable phone calls notwithstanding. Chancellor Angela Merkel's determined opposition to beginning the NATO accession process for Ukraine and Georgia (a historic rejection of American leadership in the Alliance) and Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's defense of the Russian invasion of Georgia are examples of avowedly pro-American leaders whose ready access to the U.S. president did not change their policies at pivotal moments. Prime Minister Tony Blair and President José María Aznar were both close to Washington, but their departure into the political wilderness brought governments seeking to distance themselves from the United States.
President Nicolas Sarkozy's vacation in the United States and meal at Kennebunkport, President Bush's family retreat, mutated into self-serving shots against Bush on missile defense and Georgia when relations with Moscow seemed to require it. And a fishing trip to Kennebunkport and reciprocal visit to Sochi, together with repeated offers of cooperation and engagement, failed to soften the words or actions of Vladimir Putin, the penultimate in the long series of Russian leaders whose welcome in the West as a reformer or Westernizer proved premature.
- Do not concoct a mismatch of rhetoric and policy. Especially, do not speak loudly and carry no stick. A rhetorical hard line on principles that is not matched by actions gains all the problems of confrontation and all the drawbacks of appeasement.
Red lines should be few and must be held to, not lightly tripped across as in the Six-Party talks on North Korea's nuclear program, or in agreeing to rules on commercial energy relationships with Russia in the G-8 and then ignoring violations, or in insisting that the Iraqi government respect human rights while doing little to help Christian and other religious minorities there.
The United States need not be always confrontational or always accommodating. But inconsistency between rhetoric and actions is read by friends and enemies as weakness (or at best distraction). It renders impossible the genuine assertion of strength.
- Do not expect others to do the work of American leadership for us. Retreating from Europe in the immediate aftermath of World War II or, after the Cold War, initially insisting that we had no significant interests in the Balkans were unsustainable policies. More recently, putting Europe in front in negotiations with Iran over nuclear weapons, or with Russia over Georgia, has not worked well, at least if the objectives were to slow the Iranian nuclear program or to convince Russia not to draw new borders in Europe.
Over the last two years, coordinating with Europe became the essence of much U.S. policy. The result, while avoiding the outward appearance of seams in the Atlantic relationship, was that the United States was steered by a lowest-common-denominator process of European policy-making, minimizing the contribution of those who agreed with us and maximizing the influence of those driven by commercial and energy interests in Iran and Russia.
Outsourcing leadership fails. Attempting to endow other countries with the imprimatur of American power does not impress leaders who threaten and invade neighbors with democratically elected governments or seek to destroy Israel and the West.
Gaining multilateral support for policies led by the United States is desirable and often essential.
These "do nots" don't fall into "realist" or "idealist" schools. They are lessons of human nature as it plays out across party lines, across international borders and over time. They are useful cautions for all American administrations.
Role of CIA2 assets in Mumbai in USA and elsewhere...
The role in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai last month of an underworld kingpin that heads an organization known as D-Company, has known ties to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and who is alleged to have ties with the CIA is apparently being whitewashed, suggesting that his capture and handover to India might prove inconvenient for either the ISI or the CIA, or both.
It was Dawood Ibrahim who was initially characterized by press reports as being the mastermind behind the attacks. Now, that title of “mastermind” is being given to Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi by numerous media accounts reporting that Pakistan security forces have raided a training camp of the group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which evidence has indicated was behind the attacks. Lakhvi was reportedly captured in the raid and is now in custody.
At the same time Ibrahim’s role is being downplayed, Lakhvi’s known role is being exaggerated. Initial reports described him as the training specialist for LeT, but the major media outlets like the New York Times and the London Times, citing government sources, have since promoted his status to that of commander of operations for the group.
The only terrorist from the Mumbai attacks to be captured alive, Azam Amir Kasab, characterized Ibrahim, not Lakhvi, as the mastermind of those attacks, according to earlier press accounts.
Kasab reportedly told his interrogators that he and his fellow terrorists were trained under Lakhvi, also known as “Chacha,” at a camp in Pakistan. Indian officials also traced calls from a satellite phone used by the terrorists to Lakhvi.
But the phone had also been used to call Yusuf Muzammil, also known as Abu Yusuf, Abu Hurrera, and “Yahah.” And it has been Muzammil, not Lakhvi, who has previously been described as the military commander of LeT. It was an intercepted call to Muzammil on November 18 that put the Indian Navy and Coast Guard on high alert to be on the lookout for any foreign vessels from Pakistan entering Indian waters.
Kasab told his interrogators that his team had set out from Karachi, Pakistan, on a ship belonging to Dawood Ibrahim, the MV Alpha. They then hijacked an Indian fishing trawler, the Kuber, to pass through Indian territorial waters to elude the Navy and Coast Guard that were boarding and searching suspect ships.
Although the MV Alpha was subsequently found and seized by the Indian Navy, there have been few, if any, developments about this aspect of the investigation in press accounts, such as whether it has been confirmed or not that the ship was owned by Ibrahim.
Upon arriving off the coast near the city, they were received by inflatable rubber dinghies that had been arranged by an associate of Ibrahim’s in Mumbai.
The planning and execution of the attacks are indicative of the mastermind role not of either Lakhvi or Muzammil, but of Ibrahim, an Indian who is intimately familiar with the city. It was in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) that Ibrahim rose through the ranks of the underworld to become a major organized crime boss.
At least two other Indians were also connected to the attacks, Mukhtar Ahmed and Tausef Rahman. They were arrested for their role in obtaining SIM cards used in the cell phones of the terrorists. Ahmed, according to Indian officials, had in fact been recruited by a special counter-insurgency police task force as an undercover operative. His exact role is still being investigated.
One of the SIM cards used was possibly purchased from New Jersey. Investigators are looking into this potential link to the US, as well.
Dawood Ibrahim went from underworld kingpin to terrorist in 1993, when he was connected to a series of bombings in Bombay that resulted in 250 deaths. He is wanted by Interpol and was designated by the US as a global terrorist in 2003.
It’s believed Ibrahim has been residing in Karachi, and Indian officials have accused Pakistan’s ISI of protecting him.
Ibrahim is known to be a major drug trafficker responsible for shipping narcotics into the United Kingdom and Western Europe.
According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), most Afghan opium (or its derivative, heroin, which is increasingly being produced in the country before export) is smuggled through Iran and Turkey en route by land to Europe; but the percentage that goes to Pakistan seems to mostly find its way directly to the UK, either by plane or by ship.
Afghanistan is the world’s leading producer of opium, a trend that developed during the CIA-backed mujahedeen effort to oust the Soviet Union from the country, with the drug trade serving to help finance the war.
The principle recipient of CIA-ISI funding was Gulbaddin Hekmatyar, one of the major drug lords. Hekmatyar has since joined with the Taliban in the insurgency effort to expel foreign forces from the country – not the Soviet Union, this time, but the US.
A Taliban ban on the cultivation of opium poppies in 2000 resulted in the near total eradication of the crop. But since the US overthrow of the regime in 2001, Afghanistan has once again become the world’s leading producer of opium, surpassing all previous records.
While Hekmatyar chose to side with anti-government forces, a number of other warlords involved in the drug trade were members of the Northern Alliance to whom the CIA doled out cash in the US effort to overthrow the Taliban following the 9/11 attacks.
One such warlord is Abdul Rashid Dostum, who was appointed Chief of Staff of the army under the government of Hamid Karzai, and who has been described in US intelligence’s own files as a “Tier One Warlord.”
That list includes a number of other high ranking officials within the Afghanistan government, including former defense minister and parliament member Marshal Mohammad Fahim, Interior Minister for Counter-Narcotics General Mohammad Daoud, and former governor of Helmand province (now by far the largest producer of opium) Sher Mohammed Akhundzada.
Although government officials parroted by the mainstream media tend to characterize the Afghan opium trade as being controlled by the Taliban, in fact the estimated drug profits of all anti-government elements (AGEs) is a mere fraction of the trade’s total estimated export value. The UNODC estimated the export value this year at $3.4 billion. Of that, AGEs profited between $250-470 million, less than 14% of the total trade. Moreover, what fraction of that percentage has gone specifically to the Taliban as opposed to other AGEs is unknown.
Furthermore, while the Taliban profits from the production of opium through ushr, a 10% tax on all agricultural products, and possibly through a protection racket in which it receives compensation for providing security along smuggling routes, the UNODC has acknowledged that there is little indication that the Taliban itself is responsible for either the actual production or trafficking of the drug.
This is an inconvenient truth for the US, which has so far managed through its propaganda efforts to successfully obfuscate the truth about the Afghan drug trade and portray the Taliban as being almost wholly responsible.
A known drug trafficker, Dawood Ibrahim is naturally also involved in money laundering, which is perhaps where the role of gambling operations in Nepal comes into the picture.
Yoichi Shimatsu, former editor of the Japan Times, wrote last month after the Mumbai attacks that Ibrahim had worked with the US to help finance the mujahedeen during the 1980s and that because he knows too much about the US’s “darker secrets” in the region, he could never be allowed to be turned over to India.
The recent promotion of Lakhvi to “mastermind” of the attacks while Ibrahim’s name disappears from media reports would seem to lend credence to Shimatsu’s assertion.
Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen similarly reported that according to intelligence sources, Dawood Ibrahim is a CIA asset, both as a veteran of the mujahedeen war and in a continuing connection with his casino and drug trade operations in Kathmandu, Nepal. A deal had been made earlier this year to have Pakistan hand Ibrahim over to India, but the CIA was fearful that this would lead to too many of its dirty secrets coming to light, including the criminal activities of high level personnel within the agency.
One theory on the Mumbai attacks is that it was backlash for this double-cross that was among other things intended to serve as a warning that any such arrangement could have further serious consequences.
Although designated as a major international terrorist by the US, media reports in India have characterized the US’s past interest in seeing Ibrahim handed over as less than enthusiastic. Former Indian Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani wrote in his memoir, “My Country My Life,” that he made a great effort to get Pakistan to hand over Ibrahim, and met with then US Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice (now Secretary of State) to pressure Pakistan to do so. But he was informed by Powell that Pakistan would hand over Ibrahim only “with some strings attached” and that then Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf would need more time before doing so.
The handover, needless to say, never occurred. The Pakistan government has also publicly denied that Ibrahim is even in the country; a denial that was repeated following the recent Mumbai attacks.
Others suspected of involvement in the attacks and named among the 20 individuals India wants Pakistan to turn over also have possible connections to the CIA, including Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, the founder of LeT, and Maulana Masood Azhar, both veterans of the CIA-backed mujahedeen effort.
Azhar had been captured in 1994 and imprisoned in India for his role as leader of the Pakistani-based terrorist group Karkut-ul-Mujahideen. He was released, however, in 1999 in exchange for hostages from the takeover of Indian Airlines Flight 814, which was hijacked during its flight from Kathmandu, Nepal to Delhi, India and redirected to Afghanistan. After Azhar’s release, he formed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), which was responsible for an attack on the Indian parliament in 2001 that led Pakistan and India to the brink of war. LeT was also blamed for the attack alongside JeM.
Both LeT and JeM have links to the ISI, which has used the groups as proxies in the conflict with India over the territory of Kashmir.
Hafiz Saeed travelled to Peshawar to join the mujahedeen cause during the Soviet-Afghan war. Peshawar served as the base of operations for the CIA, which worked closely with the ISI to finance, arm, and train the mujahedeen. It was in Peshawar that Saeed became the protégé of Abdullah Azzam, who founded an organization called Maktab al-Khidamat (MAK) along with a Saudi individual named Osama bin Laden.
MAK worked alongside the CIA-ISI operations to recruit Arabs to the ranks of the mujahedeen. The ISI, acting as proxy for the CIA, chose mainly to channel its support to Afghans, such as Gulbaddin Hekmatyar. The U.S. claims the CIA had no relationship with MAK, but bin Laden’s operation, which later evolved into “al-Qaeda,” must certainly have been known to, and approved by, the CIA.
But there are indications that the CIA’s relationship with MAK and al-Qaeda go well beyond having shared a common enemy and mutual interests in the Soviet-Afghan war. A number of al-Qaeda associates appear to have been protected individuals.
Branches of MAK existed elsewhere, including in the United States. The US Treasury Department lists one of MAK’s aliases as Al-Kifah. The Al-Kifah Refugee Center in Brooklyn, New York, served as a recruitment center during the 1980s, but its operations did not end after the end of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Kifah was also a recruitment center for efforts by extremist groups in the Balkans.
Just as in Afghanistan, the US also had mutual interests with Bosnian Muslims and extremist groups acting in the Balkans. MAK had since evolved into al-Qaeda under Osama bin Laden, which had links to groups operating in Bosnia. Despite an arms embargo against such groups, they managed to obtain weapons and supply shipments in which the US at best looked the other way and at worst played an active role.
The operations to arm al-Qaeda linked groups in Bosnia were carried under the watch of then director of the US European Command Intelligence Directorate Gen. Michael V. Hayden. Hayden subsequently served as the director of the National Security Agency from 1999 to 2005 and is currently the Director of Central Intelligence, or DCI, which is the head of the CIA.
A former official at the US consular office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Michael Springman went public after 9/11 to explain how his office was used by the CIA to bring recruits to the US for training during the 1980s.
The Jeddah office is where most of the 9/11 hijackers obtained their visas to enter the US.
Two other of the hijackers, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, were in fact known to the CIA and were being monitored. Despite being known al-Qaeda operatives, they were allowed to enter the US under their real names and neither the FBI nor the State Department were notified.
The US explains this as the result of the CIA losing the terrorists’ trail when they travelled to Thailand after an al-Qaeda meeting in Kuala Lumpur. But this explanation does not stand up to scrutiny since it was known that they had obtained visas to enter the US. Thus, even if the CIA did in fact lose track of the terrorists, standard procedure should have dictated that the FBI and State Department be alerted.
The 9/11 Joint Inquiry and subsequent 9/11 Commission were apparently satisfied with the CIA’s explanation that it lost al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar, and nobody was ever held accountable for the “mistake” of knowingly allowing two known al-Qaeda operatives on the terrorist watchlist to enter the United States unhindered.
Upon arriving in the US, al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar were assisted by an individual under FBI surveillance for his possible connections to terrorist groups and, furthermore, even lived in a house rented from an FBI informant. But the FBI claims that it didn’t know anything about the men, despite them using their real names and being listed in the phone book, because the CIA hadn’t informed them the two were in the country. The Joint Inquiry report described this as perhaps the single greatest missed opportunity to break up the 9/11 operation and prevent the attacks.
Additionally, it was in fact the CIA who not once, but at least on six separate occasions, approved a visa, including from the office in Jeddah, for or the entry of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, a.k.a. “the Blind Sheikh,” into the US, despite his known connection to terrorist acts in Egypt, including the assassination of Anwar Sadat, and despite having been on the State Department’s terrorist watchlist. This, too, was described as a series of “mistakes” after the government was forced to admit that it had occurred – an explanation that the New York Times, which reported this information in a series of articles, seemed to find perfectly satisfactory.
Many, however, find such incompetency and coincidence theories to be simply not credible, preferring instead alternative, oftentimes much more plausible, conspiracy theories.
The Blind Sheikh had also travelled to Peshawar during the mujahedeen effort, and was good friends with Gulbaddin Hekmatyar, the CIA’s top asset during the Soviet-Afghan war. He later became the spiritual head of the terrorist group that carried out the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, a plot which the FBI had known about in advance through two or more informants.
One of the informants served as a bodyguard for the Blind Sheikh and was made responsible for obtaining materials to make the bomb with. Tape recordings he secretly made of conversations with his FBI handlers reveal that the original sting operation involved a plan to replace a chemical used in making the bomb with an inert simulant that would render it inoperative. But this plan was withdrawn by a supervisor at the FBI and the terrorist cell was allowed to go ahead and make a real bomb – which was then used to blow up the World Trade Center.
Another notable character connected to Al-Kifah training and recruitment efforts for al-Qaeda is Ali Mohammed. He also happened to be an in FBI informant, a CIA asset, and a member of the special forces in the US Army. It is Ali Mohammed whom some suspect of actually being the mastermind of the 1993 WTC bombing. He was later charged in connection to the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, but has since seemingly disappeared off the map.
After the 9/11 attacks, the investigation into the financing of the attacks led to Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British national of Pakistani origin. According to Indian officials, a joint investigation with the FBI revealed evidence that it was at the direction of the head of the ISI, Lt. Gen. Mahmud Ahmed, that Omar Sheikh transferred $100,000 to lead hijacker Mohammed Atta in Florida.
Omar Sheikh, a known associate of Osama bin Laden, was captured and imprisoned in India for his role in the kidnapping of American and British nationals in 1994. He was released in 1999 along with Maulana Massod Azhar in exchange for the hostages from Flight 814. According to former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf, Omar Sheikh was also an agent of Britain’s spy agency, MI6, for whom he served in operations in the Balkans.
Omar Sheikh’s role in the 9/11 attacks has also been downplayed. Mention of him in the media instead focus on his role as the man responsible for the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. He is currently being held in Pakistan on charges relating to Pearl’s murder.
After Mahmud Ahmed’s alleged role in the 9/11 attacks became known publicly, Musharraf quietly replaced him and the whole affair was hushed up in the US. When a reporter from a foreign news agency asked then National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice whether she was aware of the reports that the ISI chief had financed the hijackers and was in Washington meeting with high level officials at the time of the attacks, she denied having seen “that report” and protested that, “he was certainly not meeting with me.”
Interestingly, the White House website transcript of the press briefing censored the words “ISI chief” from the reporter’s question, despite the words clearly being audible in the video of the briefing.
The 9/11 Commission also acted to whitewash Mahmud Ahmed’s alleged role in the attacks. Despite the question of the ISI chief’s involvement being included on a list of items for the Commission to investigate from families of the victims of the attacks, the Commission’s report made no mention of it, either to confirm or deny the information, which, despite having received zero coverage in the US major media (with the one exception of a citation of a report from the Times of India in a blog on the Wall Street Journal’s opinion website), was widely reported internationally (as well as in US alternative media).
Rather, the 9/11 Commission simply acted as though such reports didn’t exist. Despite Bob Graham, one of the chairs of the earlier Congressional Joint Inquiry, publicly stating that he was surprised by the evidence of foreign government involvement (he added that this information would not be made public for another twenty or thirty years when it would be due for release to the national archives), the 9/11 Commission report arrived at the opposite conclusion, saying there was no evidence of any such involvement and, moreover, that the question of who financed the attacks was “of little practical significance.”
Another former head of the ISI is now being privately accused by the US of involvement with the group responsible for the Mumbai attacks, according to reports citing a document listing former ISI chief Lt. Gen. Hamid Gul and four other former heads of Pakistan’s intelligence agency as being involved in supporting terrorist networks. The individuals named have been recommended to the UN Security Council to be named as international terrorists, according to Pakistan’s The News.
The document has been provided to the Pakistan government and also accuses Gul, who was head of the ISI from 1987-1989, of providing assistance to criminal groups in Kabul, as well as to groups responsible for recruiting and training militants to attack US-led forces in Afghanistan, including the Taliban.
Hamid Gul responded to the reports by calling the allegations hilarious. The US denied that it had made any such recommendations to the UN.
But the US has similarly accused the ISI of involvement in the bombing of India’s embassy in Kabul last July. This was unusual not because of the allegation of an ISI connection to terrorism but because it was in such stark contrast with US attempts to publicly portray Pakistan as a staunch ally in its “war on terrorism” when the country was under the dictatorship of Pervez Musharraf.
The US attitude toward Pakistan shifted once an elected government came to power that has been more willing to side with the overwhelming belief among the public that it is the “war on terrorism” itself that has exacerbated the problem of extremist militant groups and led to further terrorist attacks within the country, such as the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto last year or the bombing of the Marriot Hotel in September. While the world’s attention has been focused on the attacks in Mumbai, a bomb blast in Peshawar last week killed 21 and injured 90.
While the purported US document names Gul and others as terrorist supporters, another report, from Indian intelligence, indicates that the terrorists who carried out the attacks in Mumbai were among 500 trained by instructors from the Pakistan military, according to the Sunday edition of The Times. This training of the 10 known Mumbai terrorists would have taken place prior to their recent preparation for these specific attacks by the LeT training specialist Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.
But while Lakhvi, Muzammil, and Hafiz Saeed have continued to be named in connection with last month’s attacks in Mumbai, the name of Dawood Ibrahim seems to be either disappearing altogether or his originally designated role as the accused mastermind of the attacks being credited now instead to Lakhvi in media accounts.
Whether this is a deliberate effort to downplay Ibrahim’s role in the attacks so as not to have to force Pakistan to turn him over because of embarrassing revelations pertaining to the CIA’s involvement with known terrorists and drug traffickers that development could possibly produce isn’t certain. But what is certain is that the CIA has had a long history of involvement with such characters and that the US has a track record of attempting to keep information about the nature of such involvement in the dark or to cover it up once it reaches the light of public scrutiny.
Mr. G.B. Shaw sez, “I often quote myself; it adds spice to my conversation.” With that concept in mind, I’ll remind you of something I said in a recent interview, re: St. Barack. Obama’s ascendancy, I posited, “is an excellent illustration of how the system handles dissent. A black face, a soothing voice and a vague message of change - all designed to keep the rabble pacified without changing anything at all.”
This, I submit, could be deemed the ultimate conspiracy of the secret power behind
the power in the USA....
The power elite, especially in the United States, share remarkably common interests and background. Corporate America is concerned solely with profits . . . period. Therefore, America’s foreign and domestic policy is logically geared towards that financial end -- without any real accountability.
The no-accountability part is made possible by the “other wing” of the power elite -- the corporate media. Through subtle, but incredibly effective thought control, the press can effectively “manufacture consent” for the policies of the CEOs and the ruling class.
Whether this is done through scare tactics or lies of omission, the public can be made to accept and adopt the needs of the rich as their own. The media turn the opinions that have been created in corporate boardrooms and Pentagon meetings into vital “national interests” that you and I must protect with our very lives. And protect we do.
Bearing this monolithic system in mind, it’s easy to see how some, uh, unusual theories can be provoked in the name of explaining why things aren’t as promised in the land of opportunity. However, reality is not so difficult to discern. For example, when the United States recruited Nazi war criminals to help form the Central Intelligence Agency after World War II, it wasn’t a issue of “hiring the enemy” to those who perpetrated this atrocity. Rather, the ruling class -- rich men like the Dulles brothers -- simply saw Soviet communism as a clear and present threat to their indoctrination and thus acted accordingly. Using genocidal criminals towards that end could be rationalized in their warped minds and thereby explains the sheer incomprehension on their part when the Nazi-CIA connection is even mentioned. Those in control simply do not have another point of view on the subject.
Among the power elite -- the top 1 percent that truly sets policy in the United States -- there is one universal conspiracy theory: they all think alike.
And that includes the exalted Pope of Hope himself . . .OUBAMANIACOMPANIACIA2
Case In Point....
Ergenekon agent spent time in northern New Jersey prior to 9/11
Tuncay Guney, the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) agent who was a key player in the right-wing “Deep State” Ergenekon movement that attempted to overthrow the Turkish government, spent time in North Jersey in the months prior to the 9/11 attacks, according to a reliable source who spoke to WMR.
Guney now claims to be a rabbi but his status as a rabbi has been rejected as a falsehood by Turkey’s Jewish community leaders. Guney is listed as a rabbi at Jacob House (“B’nai Yakov”) Jewish Community Center in Toronto but the Toronto Board of Rabbis and the Turkish Jewish Congregation have no records of a Rabbi Tuncay Guney or “Daniel Levi,” an alias used by Guney. It is believed that “Jacob House” is a front for intelligence operations and not an actual synagogue. Jacob House shares an address with the New York Institute, which also maintains an address in New Jersey.
Guney was arrested by Istanbul’s Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department on March 8, 2001, after a police search of his home turned up two guns, fake license plates, a number of Turkish identity cards, over a hundred fake diplomas, and other Ergenekon evidence. The head of the Istanbul police unit, Adil Serdar Saçan, suspected Guney was a key player in Ergenekon. However, Sacan was, himself, later arrested and charged with being a member of Ergenekon. However, WMR has learned from its Turkish sources that Sacan is honest and was set up in an attempt to tarnish his image after he discovered an Israeli connection to the powerful Ergenekon movement.
As a member of the Turkish police JITEM unit, Guney reportedly spied, under cover as a journalist, on Iraqi Kurdish leaders Massoud Barzani and Jalal Talabani and Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Talabani is now the President of Iraq.
After Guney’s release on bail on March 9, 2001, Şenkal Atasagun, MIT’s undersecretary, asked the CIA to exfiltrate Guney to the United States. Guney was flown on Turkish Airlines to New York. Guney eventually ended up, according to our sources, living in North Jersey and making a living pumping gas.
Guney lived in the “973” area code zone, an area that encompasses East Rutherford and Fairlawn, towns that were centers of activity for Israeli Mossad Urban Moving System operatives who were spotted celebrating the 9/11 attacks from at least two locations -- Liberty State Park in Jersey City and an apartment complex on the Jersey Palisades above Weehawken, the headquarters of Urban Moving Systems. The FBI and CIA later identified Dominick Suter, the manager of Urban Moving Systems, as a Mossad intelligence officer. Five Urban Moving Systems employees were arrested in their van in East Rutherford during the afternoon of September 11, 2001, after they were seen traveling toward the Lincoln Tunnel to Manhattan. Their Urban Moving Systems van tested positive for the presence of explosives. Suter fled the United States and the five Israelis, some of whom were identified as Mossad in an FBI/CIA database, were released after a few months in jail after heavy pressure was applied on the U.S. government by Israel.
Guney is also suspected of acting as an agent for Mossad, as well as the CIA. His presence in North Jersey, a “hot zone” for Israeli intelligence “false flag” operations before and during the 9/11 attacks, points to a possible Turkish connection to the attacks.
On August 7, 2005, WMR reported on details of the apprehension of the Israelis for their false flag actions: “Jersey City was a major base of operations for the 1993 World Trade Center attack. The Ryder van used in that attack was rented from a Jersey City rental agency . . . there was a call placed to the Jersey City Police Department that claimed ‘Palestinians’ in Arab clothes were seen celebrating the attacks. Although the Jersey City Police discovered their 911 system tapes on September 11, 2001 disappeared from their servers and achives after ISI [of Mount Laurel, NJ] took over the contract, some tapes implicating “Arabs” found their way into the hands of WNBC-TV in New York in June 2002. WNBC played transcripts of 911 calls from the Jersey City Police:
Dispatcher: Jersey City police.
Caller: Yes, we have a white van, 2 or 3 guys in there, they look like Palestinians and going around a building.
Caller: There’s a minivan heading toward the Holland tunnel, I see the guy by Newark Airport mixing some junk and he has those sheikh uniform.
Dispatcher: He has what?
Caller: He’s dressed like an Arab.
“It is clear that the Jersey City Police Department’s 911 call tapes were manipulated to delete any calls that might implicate the Israelis. The one call provided to WNBC was clearly an attempt at a ‘false flag” operation implicating ‘Palestinians’ wearing ‘sheik uniforms’ as the culprits in at least one of the white vans driven by Israeli ‘movers’ on the morning of September 11. After the van was traced to the Israeli moving company, the BOLO [Be On Look Out for message] went out for the arrest of the vehicle’s driver and passengers. An East Rutherford policeman directing traffic away from the closed Lincoln Tunnel on Route 3 East noticed the van was driving slowly on the service road towards the tunnel. The tag of the vehicle was only off by one letter from what was contained in the BOLO (JRJ 13Y) and the front New Jersey plate had been removed. It is very possible that to confuse the police, the Israelis were using NJ plate JRJ 13Y as the rear tag on two white vans - the one sighted in Liberty State Park and the other in Maria’s apartment building parking lot. In fact, local police reported a number of white van sightings during September 11, with a number of them phoned into the police. Maria told ABC News she phoned tag number JRJ 13Y to the Jersey City Police after seeing the Israelis driving in a white van celebrating the first plane’s impact, while Liberty State Park witnesses said the same tag number -- JRJ 13Y -- had been passed to the police and FBI after a white van with ‘celebrating Arabs’ had been chased from the park by the park’s chief ranger after the first plane impact.[11] It was clear that officials of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection in Trenton, which has authority over the state’s parks, ordered Liberty State Park officials not to talk to the media about September 11 and the Israeli van.”
The man who then New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey placed in charge of his liaison to New Jersey’s security and law enforcement agencies, Golan Cipel, later was allegedly identified by U.S. intelligence as a gay “honey trap” Mossad officer tasked with entrapping and blackmailing McGreevey. McGreevey resigned as governor after details of the homosexual affair became public.
Ergenekon has been accused of carrying out terrorist attacks and assassinations in Turkey as “false flag” operations to discredit, undermine, and eventually overthrow Turkey’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Former FBI Turkish and Persian translator Sibel Edmonds told the Sunday Times of London earlier this year that her translations of wiretaps of Turkish, Iranian, Israeli, and American individuals pointed to Turkish training for the 9/11 hijack ring. Edmonds said that an “Al Qaeda” leader, a Syrian named Louai al-Sakka, had trained 9/11 hijackers at a military base in Turkey, under the watchful eyes of the Turkish military, which we now know was riddled with Ergenekon agents up and down the chain-of-command, four star generals to non-commissioned officers. Al-Sakka was convicted in 2007 for his role in a series of 2003 bombings in Istanbul that targeted the British Consulate, two HSBC bank branches, and two synagogues and his now serving a life prison sentence. The Turkish ring may have been involved or known about several beheadings of Western prisoners in Iraq that were blamed on “Al Qaeda.”
Philip Giraldi, a former CIA station chief in Istanbul, wrote the following in the Dallas Morning News: “Sibel Edmonds makes a number of accusations about specific criminal behavior that appear to be extraordinary but are credible enough to warrant official investigation.”
Coupling the Turkish official investigation of Ergenekon with Edmonds’ information, there is more than a smoking gun pointing to 9/11 as a “false flag” operation involving Turkish, Israeli, and U.S. intelligence operatives. The Saudi and Pakistani financial connection to the 9/11 hijackers and the “false flag” operation has already been well-documented.
It is time for the incoming Obama administration to seriously consider appointing a new 9/11 commission, sans enablers and possible conspirators in the 9/11 false flag attack on the United States. Thousands of pages of documents are now available in Turkey, the United States, Britain, India, France, and other countries that will prove that 9/11 involved a network much larger than a former CIA asset hiding in an Afghan cave, Osama Bin Laden, and 19 ne’er-do-well “hijackers,” some of whom were more interested in going to strip joints and bars in the days before they decided to take express flights to “heaven” to spend eternity with Allah....
"The attacks on New York and Washington were an Israeli-engineered attempt at a coup against the government of the United States"
General Hameed Gul was director general of the Pakistani Intelligence Services ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) and a close ally of America, working hand in hand with the American CIA. Gul was also a great supporter of the "American Way Of Life" and Western democracy. General Gul turned against America for betrayal and countless broken promises.
He is, "still today very influential in Pakistan" according to the German daily DIE WELT (Sep. 28, 2001, p. 7).
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan -- The retired Pakistani general who is closest to the Taliban and Osama bin Laden contends the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington were the work of renegade U.S. Air Force elements working with the Israelis. Gen. Hameed Gul led Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence during the war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Gul serves as an adviser to Pakistan's extremist religious political parties, which oppose their government's decision to support the United States in any action against Afghanistan's Taliban regime. Gul contends bin Laden had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, saying instead that they were the work of the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service -- a version of events that has been endorsed by Islamic fundamentalist clerics and is widely accepted by Muslims throughout the Arab world.
De Borchgrave: So who did Black Sept. 11?
Gul: Mossad and its accomplices. The U.S. spends $40 billion a year on its 11 intelligence agencies. That's $400 billion in 10 years. Yet the Bush Administration says it was taken by surprise. I don't believe it. Within 10 minutes of the second twin tower being hit in the World Trade Center CNN said Osama bin Laden had done it. That was a planned piece of disinformation by the real perpetrators. It created an instant mindset and put public opinion into a trance, which prevented even intelligent people from thinking for themselves.
Q: So you're already convinced bin Laden didn't do it?
A: I know bin Laden and his associates. I've been with them here, in Europe and the Middle East. They are graduates of the best universities and are highly intelligent with impressive degrees and speak impeccable English. These are people who have rediscovered fundamental Islamic values. Many come from the Gulf countries where ruling royal families have generated hatred by the way they flout divine law, wasting billions on gratifying their whims, jetting around in large private jets by themselves, and sailing the Mediterranean in big private boats for weeks on end. Osama's best recruits come from feudal areas that are U.S. protectorates and where millions of poor people are seeking human dignity. I have even visited a Christian convent school in Murree, 60 miles from here, where my 13-year-old daughter is studying. The young girls there have told me Osama is their hero. Osama's followers identify with Mujahideen freedom fighters wherever they are defending Islam and its values.
Q: So what makes you think Osama wasn't behind Sept. 11?
A: From a cave inside a mountain or a peasant's hovel? Let's be serious. Osama inspires countless millions by standing up for Islam against American and Israeli imperialism. He doesn't have the means for such a sophisticated operation.
Q: Why Mossad?
A: Mossad and its American associates are the obvious culprits. Who benefits from the crime? The attacks against the twin towers started at 8:45 a.m. and four flights are diverted from their assigned air space and no air traffic controller sounds the alarm. And no Air Force jets scramble until 10 a.m. That also smacks of a small scale Air Force rebellion, a coup against the Pentagon perhaps? Radars are jammed, transponders fail. No IFF -- friend or foe identification -- challenge. In Pakistan, if there is no response to IFF, jets are instantly scrambled and the aircraft is shot down with no further questions asked. This was clearly an inside job. Bush was afraid and rushed to the shelter of a nuclear bunker. He clearly feared a nuclear situation. Who could that have been? Will that also be hushed up in the investigation, like the Warren report after the Kennedy assassination?
Q: At this point, someone might be asking what you've been smoking. What is Israel's interest in such a monstrous plot, which, of course, no one believes except Islamist extremists who concocted this piece of disinformation in the first place, presumably to detract from the real culprits?
A: Jews never agreed to Bush 41 (George H.W. Bush, the 41st president) or 43 (his son George W. Bush, the 43rd president). They made sure Bush senior didn't get a second term. His land-for-peace pressure in Palestine didn't suit Israel. They were also against the young Bush because he was considered too close to oil interests and the Gulf countries. Bush senior and Jim Baker had raised $150 million for Bush junior, much of it from Mideast sources or their American go-betweens. Bush 41 and Baker, as private citizens, had also facilitated the new strategic relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran. I have this from sources in both countries. So clearly the prospect of a Bush 43 was a potential danger to Israel.
Jews were stunned by the way Bush stole the election in Florida. They had put big money on Al Gore. Israel has given its imperialist guardian parent opportunities to turn disaster into a pretext for imposing an all-encompassing military, political and economic agenda to further the cause of global capitalism. While Colin Powell is cautious and others are reckless and want to make up for their failure to defeat Saddam Hussein in the Gulf War 10 years ago, the global agenda is the same.
Israel knows it has a short shelf-life before it is overwhelmed by demographics. It is a state that was born in terrorism that terrorized Palestinians into the exile of refugee camps, where they have now subsisted in squalid refugee camps, and is now very much afraid of Pakistan's nuclear capability.
Israel has now handed the Bush family the opportunity it has been waiting for to consolidate America's imperial grip on the Gulf and acquire control of the Caspian basin by extending its military presence in Central Asia. Bush conveniently overlooks -- or is not told -- the fact that Islamic fundamentalists got their big boost in the modern age as CIA assets in the covert campaign I was also involved with to force the Soviets out of Afghanistan. Bush senior was vice president during that entire campaign. And no sooner did he become president on Jan. 20, 1989, than he summoned an inter-agency intelligence meeting and issued an order, among several others, to clip the wings of ISI (Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence) that had been coordinating the entire operation in Afghanistan. I know this firsthand as I was DGISI at the time (director general, ISI).
Q: So how do you read U.S. strategy in Pakistan?
A: The destabilization of Pakistan is part of the U.S. plan because it is a Muslim nuclear state. The U.S. wants to isolate Pakistan from China as part of its containment policy. President Nixon's book "The Real War" said China would be the superpower of the 21st Century. The U.S. is also creating hostility between Pakistan and Afghanistan, two Muslim states to reverse the perception that the Islamic world now has its own nuclear weapons. Bush 43 doesn't realize he is being manipulated by people who understand geopolitics. He is not leading but being led. All he can do is think in terms of the wanted-dead-or-alive culture, which is how Hollywood conditions the masses to think and act.
All summer long we heard about America's shrinking surplus and that the Pentagon would not have sufficient funds to modernize for the 21st century. And now, all of a sudden, the Pentagon can get what it wants without any Democratic Party opposition. How very convenient! Even your cherished civil liberties can now be abridged with impunity to protect the expansion of the hegemony of transnational capitalism. There is now a new excuse to crush anti-globalization protests.
Bush 43 follows Bush 41. Iraq was baited into the Kuwaiti trap when the U.S. told Saddam it was not interested in his inter-Arab squabbles. Two days later, he moved into Kuwait, which was an Iraqi province anyway before the British Empire decreed otherwise. Roosevelt baited the Pearl Harbor trap for the Japanese empire, which provided the pretext for entering World War II.
And now the Israelis have given the U.S. the pretext for further expansion into an area that will be critical in the next 25 years - the Caspian basin.
Q: Were you a fundamentalist in the days of the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan when you worked closely with the CIA?
A: Not as much as I am today.
Q: What turned you against America?
A: Betrayals and broken promises and what was done to my army career.
Q: And what was that?
A: President Ishaq Khan, who succeeded Zia ul-Haq after his plane was blown out of the sky, wanted to appoint me chief of staff, the highest position in the Pakistani army. The U.S., which by then had clipped ISI's wings, also blocked my promotion by informing the president I was unacceptable. So I was moved to a corps commander position. As ISI director, I held the whole Mujahideen movement in the palm of my hands. We were all pro-American. But then America left us in the lurch and everything went to pieces, including Afghanistan.
The U.S. pushed for a broad-based Afghan government of seven factions and then waved goodbye. Even in the best of democracies, a broad-based coalition does not work. So we quickly had seven jokers in Kabul interested in only one thing - jockeying for power. The gunplay quickly followed, which led to the creation of Taliban, the students of the original Mujahideen, who decided to put an end to it.
Q: What happened to the 1,000 shoulder-fired Stinger anti-aircraft missiles that were supplied by president Reagan in 1986 and 87 to the Mujahideen, and that literally grounded the Soviet air force?
A: After the Soviets pulled out, the CIA allocated $60 million to try to buy them back. This just drove the black market price up for one Stinger from $100,000 to $300,000. The Taliban still have about 250 of them for the kind of situation they face today against U.S. aircraft.
Q: Is the U.S. now your enemy?
A: Is the U.S. national interest in contradiction with the Muslim world? The U.S. needs oil, as do its European allies. You have between 6 and 8 million American Muslims and their ranks are growing. About the same number in Europe. Israel aside, we are America's natural allies. Prof. Sam Huntington in his "Clash of Civilizations" puts Confucius and Judeo-Christians in one corner, and us in the other. His prescription is wrong but is being adopted by Bush 43 who has now put 60 countries on his hit list. This is the diabolical school that wants to launch an anti-Muslim "crusade." Muslims understood what Bush meant when he used that word.
We need a meeting, not a clash, of civilizations. We are on the brink of disaster. It is time to pull back from the brink and reassess before we blow ourselves up. The purpose of Islam is service to humanity. The time for like-minded people to have a meeting of the minds is now.
Q: But you are against democracy, so how can there be a meeting of the minds?
A: Democracy does not work. Politicians are constantly thinking of their next election, not the public good, which means, at best, constantly shading the truth to hide it from their constituents. Their pronouncements are laced with lies and the voters are lulled or gulled into believing utter nonsense. The Koran says call a spade a spade. It is the supreme law and tells right from wrong. There is no notion of "my country right or wrong" under divine law. The creator's will predominates. All if subservient to Allah's will and adherence to a set of basic, fundamental values.
Q: So what kind of a system are you advocating?
A: The world needs a post-modern state system. Right now, the nation-state and round the clock satellite TV lead people to imitate America's way of life. Which is mathematically impossible. You have 4 percent of the world's population consuming 32 percent of the world's resources. The creator through Prophet Mohammed said equal distribution. Capitalism is the negation of the creator's will. It leads to imperialism and unilateralism.
Q: So what does this post-modern state system look like?
A: A global village under divine order, or we will have global bloodshed until good triumphs over evil. Islam encapsulates all the principal religions and what was handed down 1,400 years ago was the normal evolutionary sequel to Judaism and Christianity. The prophet's last sermon was a universal document of human rights for everyone that surpasses everything that came since, including America's declaration of independence and the U.N. Charter of universal rights. If you superimpose true secular values on true Islamic values, there is no difference. So surely divine law should supersede man-made law. Islam is egalitarian, tolerant and progressive. It is the wave of the future.
Q: Marxism also believed that the nation-state would eventually wither away.
A: Socialism jumped the rails when it was co-opted by the imperialist Soviet state. Islam believes in dynamism, Christianity stands for static statism. The pope in all his pronouncements has expressed a dogmatic attachment to the status quo. Why are so many black Americans converting to Islam? Because they are looking for true equality which they cannot find under capitalism. Allah has no gender, neither male nor female. Islam has no indirect taxation in an interest-free economy. Usury was a Jewish concept.
Q: Is Iran your model?
A: There isn't a single true Islamic state in the world today. Iran has moved forward from its 1979 revolution, but I am not sure whether it's the right direction.
Q: And Taliban?
A: They represent Islam in its purest form so far. It's a clean sheet. And they were also moving in the right direction when this crisis was cooked up by the U.S. Until Sept. 11, they had perfect law and order with no formal police force, only traffic cops without sidearms. Now, in less than two weeks, they have mobilized some 300,000 volunteers to fight American and British invaders if they come.
Q: And your reaction to U.S. demands on Pakistan?
A: If Pakistan gives the U.S. base rights we will have a national upheaval. And if the U.S. attacks Afghanistan, there will be a call -- a fatwa -- for a general jihad. All borders will then disappear and it will be a no-holds-barred Islamic uprising against Israel and American imperialism. Pakistan will be engulfed in the firestorm. So I can only hope that cooler heads will prevail in Washington.
Q: What about the other U.S. demands?
A: Overflight rights are meaningless since the U.S. violates air space daily all over the world. As for intelligence sharing with ISI, you can't even catch your own terrorists. And what ISI gives you will be of marginal value anyway.
Q: President (Pervez) Musharraf has made strong statements supporting the U.S.
A: He was my student in the army. He is a good man, but he doesn't understand Islam. The army will never fight the masses. If push comes to shove, Musharraf will say no to the Americans rather than turn against the people. He is not just facing a handful of angry people. By his own admission, it's 10 percent to 15 percent of the population, or at least 10 million people willing to fight. For openers, they would close the port of Karachi. A country cannot breathe without lungs.
Q: Back to Osama's terrorist network. Who was behind the bombing of the U.S. Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya?
A: Mossad is strong in both countries. Remember the Israeli operation to free hostages in Entebbe (Uganda)? Both Kenya and Tanzania were part of the logistical tail. A so-called associate of Osama was framed at Karachi airport. The incidents took place on Aug. 8, 1999, and on the 10th a short, clean-shaven man disembarks at Karachi airport and presents the passport of a bearded man. Not your passport, he was told. He then tries to bribe the clerk with 200 rupees. A ludicrously small sum given the circumstances. The clerk says no and turns him in and he starts singing right away. Not plausible. Osama has sworn to me on the Koran it was not him and he is truthful to a fault. Pious Muslims do not kill innocent civilians who included many Muslim victims. The passport must have been switched while the man was asleep on the plane in what has all the earmarks of a Mossad operation. For 10 years, the Mujahideen fought the Soviets in Afghanistan and not a single Soviet embassy was touched anywhere in the world. So this could not have been Osama's followers.
Q: What if bin Laden has been lying to you and is guilty. Is that inconceivable?
A: If Taliban are given irrefutable evidence of his guilt, I am in favor of a fair trial. In America, one is entitled to a jury of peers. But he has no American peers. The Taliban would not object, in the event of a prima face case, to an international Islamic court meeting in The Hague. They would turn extradite Osama to the Netherlands.
Ex-ISI Chief Gul Exposes 9/11 Inside Job
Former Pakistani ISI chief Hamid Gul appeared on the Alex Jones Show
yesterday and shared his contention that the 9/11 attack was an inside
job, laying out details that were censored during a CNN interview on
the same subject last weekend.
Gul served as the director general of Pakistan’s Inter Services
Intelligence during 1987-89 and worked with the CIA in the covert war
against the Soviets in Afghanistan, helping to train the U.S.-backed
mujahideen.
The majority of the evidence he presented for 9/11 being a false flag
attack was edited out by CNN bosses.
No such censorship took place during the interview yesterday as Gul
got in depth on why he considered 9/11 to be a staged event.
Gul said that he first went public on who he thought was behind 9/11
UPI two weeks after the attacks, but that the report was blocked by
the western news media.
The UPI interview with Gul remains online and in it he questions the
delayed response to the hijackings by the U.S. Air Force.
“9/11 took place on American soil, not a single person has been caught
inside America even though for doing such a job I think a huge amount
of logistic support is required in the area where such an operation is
carried out,” Gul told the Alex Jones Show, adding that fighter jets
were scrambled in the opposite direction to where the hijacked planes
were heading as the attack unfolded.
“It is quite amazing that for a very long period of time the air
traffic control did not report this nor did the U.S. Air Force act in
time,” said Gul, noting that fighters were scrambled from bases
further away than where the hijacked planes were.
“The time that it took was enormous, it was 120 minutes, a very long
time in which to act - was the U.S. Air Force sleeping and if it was
sleeping which heads were rolled?” asked Gul, adding that if the
botched response was a mere intelligence failure then why was nobody
disciplined or taken to task and why had nobody resigned.
“The air traffic control should have been re-hashed, it should have
been turned inside out, but nothing of the sort happened,” said Gul.
Gul then questioned why standard operating procedure was not followed,
stating, “In the past within minutes the U.S. aircraft has been on the
wing of the hijacked aircraft, in this case it did not happen, the
U.S. alert system is so high and it is so sophisticated that if a
missile was to take off from Moscow and was to head towards New York,
the U.S. Air Force and the missile system is supposed to intercept it
within nine minutes….the system is in place but it did not work and
nobody tried to question this.”
Gul then highlighted the implausible proficiency of alleged Flight 77
lead hijacker Hani Hanjour, who according to his flight instructors
could barely fly a Cessna yet supposedly pulled off maneuvers that
crack military pilots would have difficulty achieving in order to hit
the Pentagon.
“The height (of the plane) was 9,000 (feet) and it came within seconds
to a height of 1,000 and then went straight into its target, this is
not possible for a person who has been trained on a light aircraft to
be able to do this,” said Gul.
Gul said that he routinely confronts American journalists about why
they do not probe into 9/11, and that they respond by telling Gul that
the Patriot Act gets in the way and they are “not supposed to ask such
questions”.
Gul said that as a result of 9/11 “everything has gone wrong with the
world” and the motive behind the events being staged were largely
geopolitical, and were used to exploit a window of opportunity for the
U.S. to go into strategic areas where there was no U.S. presence
before, as well as beating China in dominating the energy tap of the
world, the middle east and south Asia.
Gul joins a raft of former government officials and intelligence heads
in questioning 9/11, the most recent of which was former Italian
President Francesco Cossiga,
http://www.propagandamatrix.com/articles/december2007120407_common_knowledge.htm
who last December said that the attacks were carried out by elements
of the CIA2 and Mossad.

The 'intelligence circles and its diabolical designs worldwide'
"World events do not occur by accident. They are made to happen, whether it is to do with national issues, wars, covert false flag operations, a string of assassinations... perfectly executed over a decade... by the White House Murder Inc. and its chief assassin Assef Shawqat and his gang of killers within the ASSAD family of crooks, or even commerce; and most of them are staged and managed by those who hold the purse or 'honey-pot' strings...."
"In 1954, the most powerful men in the world met for the first time under the auspices of the Dutch royal crown and the Rockefeller family at the luxurious Hotel Bilderberg in the small Dutch town of Oosterbeck. For an entire weekend, the debated the future of the world. When it was over, they decided to meet once every year to exchange ideas and analyze international affairs. They named themselves the Bilderberg Group. Since then, they have gathered yearly in a luxurious hotel somewhere in the world to try to decide the future of humanity. Among the select members of this club are Bill Clinton, Paul Wolfowitz, Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Tony Blair and many other heads of government, businessmen, politicians, bankers and journalists from all over the world," writes journalist Daniel Estulin in the opening paragraph of the introduction to his must-read book, The True Story of the Bilderberg Group.
"Nevertheless, in the more than fifty years of their meetings, the press has never been allowed to attend, no statements have ever been released on the attendees' conclusions, nor has any agenda for a Bilderberg meeting been made public,"
For some 15 years, Estulin has been a thorn in the sides of the Bilderbergers, relentlessly hunting down their secret meeting places, gaining inside sources who divulge what goes on behind closed doors, even photographing attendees and publicly disclosing it all. Now he has put it all in a book that every person who values freedom and democracy should read.
The Bilderbergers are so secretive that they even try to hide, until the last minute, the location of their gathering places. Attendance is by invitation only and if an invitee's name is publicly disclosed beforehand, he or she is disinvited.
Perhaps these three quotes will explain what the secrecy is all about. The Times of London in 1977 called the Bilderbergers "a clique of the richest, economically and politically most powerful and influential men in the Western world, who meet secretly to plan events that later appear just to happen."
Said Bilderberg Group founder Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands, "It is difficult to re-educate people who have been brought up on nationalism to the idea of relinquishing part of their sovereignty to a supranational body." (The late prince has been replaced by his daughter, Queen Beatrix, who regularly attends the Bilderberg meetings.)
Every US president since Eisenhower has either belonged to the Bilderberg Group or its older parallel group, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), or been approved by them. As Estulin wrote, the race is no contest when you own both horses. That is why no matter which political party is in power nothing really changes other than the packaging. The puppets who drink at the champagne fountains of the powerful do the bidding of their masters. The people are superfluous to the process.
And it's not just in the US. The Bilderberg Group and its parallel groups, among which are the CFR, the Trilateral Commission (founded by David Rockefeller and Brzezinski), the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA) based at Chatham House in London, and their interlocking memberships are at work throughout the Western world and are endeavoring to get their hooks into the rest. The European Union is their baby.
When Bilderberger Margaret Thatcher, the high priestess of privatization, balked on adopting the euro as the UK's currency, the Bilderbergers had her dumped as prime minister and replaced by John Major.
Like the CFR, which in the course of its history has embraced and financed the Bolsheviks, Communists, Socialists, Nazis, Zionists and fascists, the Bilderbergers also play all sides. Thus, in 1980, the Bilderbergers decided François Mitterrand was to be resurrected and restored to power as France's next president. After attending the 1999 Bilderberg meeting, Romano Prodi was sworn in as president of Europe in the fall of that year; when his termed ended in 2005, he was elected prime minister of Italy.
Estulin makes it clear that these people will use any means -- legal or illegal -- in pursuit of their goal of total subjugation to their New World Order or One World Company, as they prefer to call it: wars, coups, assassinations; control of banking, finance, business, the media, education (dumbing down all but an elite needed to run things) and even religion to keep people in check.
He notes that David Rockefeller said in his Memoirs, "Some even believe we are a part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -- one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty and I am proud of it."
Incorporated in this group are the PNAC assassins and gang of murderers the neoconservatives -- "those who have determined that Israel's security should come at the expense of the safety to the whole world's and be central to all US foreign policy decisions." Richard Perle is a regular attendee at Bilderberg meetings. Michael Ledeen attended the 2005 meeting.
Media moguls such as Rupert Murdock, the now disgraced Conrad Black, Viacom (parent company of CBS) CEO Sumner Redstone, the Washington Post's Katherine Graham (now deceased), Washington Post columnists Jim Hoagland and Charles Krauthammer, New York Times Editor Arthur Sulzberger and columnist Thomas L. Friedman, William F. Buckley, Jr., and Bill Moyers have all been Bilderberg meeting invitees.
"The ideas and policies that come out of the Bilderberg annual meetings are used to generate the news in the leading periodicals and news groups of the world. The point is to make the prevalent opinions of the Bilderbergers so appealing that they become public policy and to pressure world leaders unto submitting to the 'needs of the Masters of the Universe.' The 'free world press' is completely at the mercy of the Bilderbergers disseminating the agreed upon propaganda," Estulin points out.
If all this seems far-fetched, look around. America has been stripped of its industrial base. The good jobs have been or are being offshored, while Americans are working harder and longer at service sector jobs for less pay and fewer to no benefits. Americans have been dumbed down in public and private schools, universities and colleges. Their only worth now is as consumers of mainly foreign made goods. They are kept in check by religion, sports, idiotic "reality" TV, video games and anything else that turns off thinking....and that happens worldwide on the chatter-boxes...
Democracy, freedom and national sovereignty are anathema to the wannabe masters of the universe. But the Bilderbergers and their parallel groups and allied think tanks have been working to do away with all three. Elections have been rigged. The US, Canada and Great Britain are on the verge of becoming police states, thanks to the bogus "war on terror" used to pump up people's fears. All that remains in their grand plan is to replace the last vestiges of sovereign nations with a series of regional unions that they will control via the United Nations, outlawing all nationalism....circa the summer war of 2006 on Lebanon....
But they may have overplayed their hand, as the grand scheme is fraying around the edges. Not all Europeans are ready to surrender their countries' sovereignty to the EU. Canadians who know more about the plan for a North American Union than Americans are diametrically opposed to it. A revitalized Russia, which has a historical wariness of outsiders, has its own ideas. And despite all the Western investment in China, Beijing is proving to be a problem in its refusal to float the Yuan to bail out the financial mess the greedy Bilderberger bankers and financiers have made, which may explain the Carlyle Group's sale of 9.9 percent of itself to the Chinese as a hoped for hook to bring China to their table.
As the old adage says, knowledge is power, and Daniel Estulin is providing every reader of The True Story of the Bilderberg Group with the knowledge they need to aid in destroying the Bilderbergers' grand plan by bringing it to the attention of family, friends and colleagues. It is up to us to get this book into as many hands as possible, because Estulin will get no help promoting it from the corporate media.
Collectively, the people hold the power to save themselves and that frightens the Bilderbergers and their cohorts the most. But that power is useless if the people refuse to exercise it or surrender it to those who would enslave us... starting with 911...
Since the first article in The NORAD Papers series came out at http://www.DNotice.org on 6/4/08 (now a collection of four articles on NORAD that can be found on the website), the fraud that is the official 9/11 narrative was definitively revealed.
Why no one thought to go back and do a little research on the Internet, looking for articles posted before September 11, 2001 that enumerated NORAD's true capabilities on 9/11 is a mystery. All the debates on how the WTC towers collapsed, or did a Boeing 757 really crash into the Pentagon, while interesting and important to 9/11 Truth, could have been averted by a simple sentence like this one from a September 1997 article written by, of all organizations, the National Guard Association of the United States: "Aircraft flying over our air space are monitored seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Much of the identifying process is done by hand. Flight plans from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are compiled in logs and have to be manually searched to identify aircraft....
Unlike current operating procedures, the new system will mean FEWER manual inquiries and phone contact with FAA officials about commercial aircraft. The FAA flight plan is now hooked up via computer with the new R/SAOCs so operators can EASILY TRACK FRIENDLY AIRCRAFT THROUGH OUR AIR SPACE WITHOUT having to get someone on the phone or thumb through written log books of flight plans."
This and other quotes to be found in The NORAD Papers' articles has already conclusively proven that NORAD on 9/11 was watching "within" the United States as well as "outside" the United States, therefore proving that the Bush administration and the media lied to us about NORAD.
Show The NORAD Papers to persons in your family, colleagues at work, or persons on the street, especially to persons who think the 9/11 Truth Movement is deluded...
George W. Bush has publicly experienced an “Oops! I made a mistake” moment. During an interview conducted at Camp David by ABC’s Charlie Gibson, the US president admitted that the flawed intelligence concerning Iraq’s nonexistent weapons of mass destruction was the “biggest regret of the presidency.” When he was asked whether he would have gone to war if he had known the truth he was coy. “This is a do-over that I can’t do,” he answered.....because I am a born again LIAR made by PNAC, CIA2 and a few other cronies.
No doubt O.J. Simpson, who has recently been sentenced for forcibly trying to retrieve property that used to belong to him, knows how he feels. “I did not know that I was doing anything illegal,” he told the judge. “So I am sorry.” Sorry didn’t cut it for Simpson, who is facing up to 33 years jail time. Bush, whose mistake cost the lives of something like a million innocent souls, with his notorious White House Murder Inc. is likely to get off scot-free.....
If Bush had made a genuine “mistake,” I might be able to dredge up a modicum of sympathy. After all, it can’t be easy to go through life knowing that an error of judgment had led to bloodshed, at least not for most of us ordinary mortals who would lose sleep if we ran over a dog let alone a human being. However, I do not believe he made an innocent mistake. There is too much circumstantial evidence to the contrary.
Let’s first revisit the notorious Project for a New American Century (PNAC) paper entitled Rebuilding America’s Defenses -- a blueprint for a global Pax Americana penned in September 2000 and signed by individuals who were later appointed senior figures in Bush’s cabinet. On Iraq, the document has this to say: “The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.”
Motive
So now we have a motive, which has nothing to do with WMD and all to do with the will to gain power of those closest to Bush.
If that was, indeed, their motive then, from their point of view the invasion has been a success. The US does have a far stronger presence in the Gulf than it did pre-war and it has negotiated a Status of Forces Agreement with the current Iraqi government, allowing American troops to stay at least until 2011. Who’s to say it won’t be renewed?
We should cast our minds back to the exposés of former administration figures, such as former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill, who revealed that war with Iraq was being discussed as early as January 2001.
He told CBS News’ 60 Minutes that during cabinet meetings the president “was like a blind man in a room of dead people.” O’Neill disclosed that “from the very beginning, there was a conviction that Saddam Hussein was a bad person and that he needed to go” and “Saddam was topic ‘A’ just 10 days after the presidential inauguration.”
This was backed up by Bush’s former anti-terrorism czar Richard Clarke, who on another occasion told the 60 Minutes team that just a day after the September 11 attacks, the then Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was pushing for a retaliatory strike on Iraq even though he knew Afghanistan was Al Qaida’s base.
Clarke thought Rumsfeld was joking when he commented, “There aren’t enough targets in Afghanistan.” He further recalled that Bush took him aside, saying, “Iraq! Saddam! Find out if there’s a connection” in what Clarke refers to as “a very intimidating way. I mean that we should come back with that answer.”
Then there were Vice President Dick Cheney’s Energy Taskforce documents released by the US Commerce Department in response to a court order under the Freedom of Information Act dated March 2001. These include maps of Iraqi oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals as well as a paper titled “Foreign suitors for Iraqi oilfield contracts.”
The oil factor
All this proves, of course, that Cheney and friends had their eye on Iraqi oil at least 10 years before the invasion. It isn’t in the least surprising that the Bush administration is still pushing the Iraqis to acquiesce to an oil law that would open the door to foreign oil companies.
As for Iraq’s so-called nuclear capability, which Bush used mercilessly as an entrance into the country, Saddam Hussein's son-in-law, Hussein Kamel, who defected to Jordan as long ago as the summer of 1995, told the CIA that Iraq had destroyed its WMD following the 1991 Gulf War, which was the case.
Last but not least were Tony Blair’s dodgy dossiers and let’s not forget Colin Powell’s hysterical presentation to the UN, which his aide-de-camp, Lawrence Wilkerson, was later to describe as a “hoax on the American people” and the forged yellowcake from Niger documents, which Bush referred to in his 2003 State of the Union address.
If you truly think Bush made an innocent mistake when he ordered “Shock and Awe,” and his notorious White House Murder Inc. to assassinate Mr. Elie Hobeika on January 24th 2002... etc. then I’ve got an Egyptian pyramid going cheap...
